Terms of Service

📜 1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Your Churches mobile app, website, or related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

⛪ 2. Description of Service

Your Churches provides tools for churches and their members to share announcements, sermon media, events, prayer requests, donations, and other church-related content, and to publish that content to connected third-party platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

👤3. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it current.

Church administrators are responsible for the actions of users they invite or grant administrative permissions to within their church.

📝 4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload or post to the Service ("User Content"), including sermons, photos, videos, announcements, and messages. By submitting User Content, you grant Your Churches a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

When you choose to publish User Content to a connected third-party platform (e.g., a Facebook Page or Instagram account), you authorize Your Churches to transmit that content to those platforms on your behalf, subject to those platforms’ own terms.

🚫 5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit content;
• Infringe any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Distribute malware, spam, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system;
• Impersonate another person, church, or organization;
• Violate the terms, policies, or community standards of any connected third-party platform (including Meta’s Platform Terms and Community Standards).

🔗 6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including, without limitation, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Apple, YouTube, Airtable, and payment processors. Your use of those platforms through the Service is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Your Churches is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

💳7. Donations & Payments

Donations made through the Service are processed by third-party payment providers. Your Churches does not hold donor funds. All donations are final and non-refundable except where required by law or expressly offered by the recipient church. Tax-deductibility of donations depends on the recipient church’s status and your jurisdiction; consult a tax advisor.

❌ 8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by following the steps on our Delete Account page or our Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOUR CHURCHES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

⚖️ 10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
