Delete Your Account

You have the right to request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

To request deletion of your account, send an email to our data privacy team. Include the email address associated with your Your Churches account so we can locate and remove your records.

🕐 What to Expect

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
After deletion, your account cannot be recovered.

🗑️ What Data Is Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems:

👤 Profile information

Name, email address, and account credentials

⛪ Church associations

Your membership and church connections

🙏 Prayer requests

Any prayer requests you submitted

📅 Event activity

Event RSVPs and participation records

💬 Messages & chats

Direct messages and chat history

🔔 Notification preferences

Push notification and alert settings

📋 Data We May Retain

Certain information may be retained after deletion where required by applicable law, for legitimate legal or regulatory obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. This may include:

Transaction records required for financial or tax compliance.
Records necessary to comply with legal holds or litigation obligations.
Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you.
Abuse, fraud, or safety records where retention is required to protect the platform.

Any retained data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

⚖️ Your Legal Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — to request access to, correction of, portability of, or erasure of your personal data.
