Delete Your Account and Data

You can ask us to delete your Your Churches™ account and the personal information associated with it at any time, for any reason. You do not need to give us a reason, and deletion is free.

How to request deletion

Email keith.mccormick@yourchurches.org with the subject line Account deletion request.
Send it from the email address on your account. This is how we confirm the request is really from you.
Include your full name and the name of your church so we can locate the right record.

If you can no longer access your account email, write to us from any address and we will verify your identity another way before deleting anything. We will never delete an account on an unverified request.

What gets deleted

Your name, email, phone number, and profile	Permanently deleted.
Your password	Permanently deleted.
Linked Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in identifiers	Permanently deleted.
Your push notification token	Permanently deleted. Notifications stop immediately.
Your church membership and role	Permanently deleted.
Prayer requests you submitted	Deleted on request.
Photos and videos you uploaded	Deleted on request.
Chat messages you sent	Deleted on request. Tell us if you also want messages others have replied to removed.

What may remain

Church records you created as a leader. Events, bulletins, and announcements belong to the church, not to your personal account, so they stay with the church unless the church also asks us to remove them.
Records we are legally required to keep. For example, donation and order records needed for nonprofit accounting and tax reporting. These are retained only as long as the law requires.
Backups. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups expire on their normal schedule.

How long it takes

We acknowledge every request within a few business days and complete deletion within 30 days. We will email you to confirm when it is done.

Deleting a whole church

If you are a pastor or church leader and want your church's entire presence removed — its public page, events, media, and member records — say so in your email and we will confirm the request with the church's leadership before acting.

Other privacy requests
